Well now, a post that's made me, an anarchist who votes for whoever I think might work for the poor, the sick, the suffering, the immigrants, the unemployed, feel quite enthusiastic about the Greens. Shan't join them of course, I don't join parties to be told what to do or say. But if they do stand up for those who need help, I'll even knock on doors and leaflet!

Joined greens after the shambles of your party joining up. Went to the new members meeting. I can really get behind them and what they stand for. First time ever being a paid member of a political party.

Really excited and looking forward to helping them in my area with my community(Asian /muslim) and shaking the old school die hard support for Labour.

Disinvited , discarded, demonised by Starmer/Labour , the Left , now has a choice .

Labour don't like it. Shaking off fleas- not same as changing hearts and minds. Evidenced by positive reception when arguments from Left are clearly articulated, without fear.

Zack Polanski /Green Party gets my vote for sure. Timing and early missteps by Your Party , curbed my initial enthusiasm. Remain open to best option to make greatest impact , from Left, in way vote.

This was expected. 33% of vote, supports genocide by Israel and bans Palestine Action. And he heads a mendacious government "Blame anyone else!" Changing language on immigration is sucking up to xenophobes. I think both Labour and Conservatives are heading for a stuffing. Green and Liberals must play the first past the post system to maximise MPs. Today Starmer spoke for Israel by trying to get Maccabi safety ban lifted. Maccabi fans were violent and made racist chants in Amsterdam and disrespected French anthem in Paris. Maccabi should be banned for violence shown, and singing, " We killed all the children in Gaza" This was demonstrable racism from IDF soldiers in Amsterdam, if not a boast of genocide.

Someone needs to tell Zac that he would get a far greater amount of money to spend by doubling the top rate of tax rather than taxing wealth. Taxing wealth sounds better but in reality people put there money in tax havens and so it would cost far more money to get the wealth back and unless you intend to sort out the tax havens it is better to get in touch with Professor Richard Murphy who is very open to advising him and is an emiritus professor on accounting and economic policy. He has written a good report called Taxing the Future or there is a whole course you can listen to on youtube. Each video is short from 5-10 minutes. I have learnt things I never studied academically. You should check it all out and tell Zac he should contact him. In effect you are taxing the wealthy, just differently. You also have to debunk the myth of living in a meritocracy. We do not and never have done. Most very rich people are rich through inheritance or/and exploitation of workers. They do not get rich because they have worked hard or there would be no inequality to beginning because we all work hard. It is hard work not having a job, it is hard work surviving with an illness or disability, it is hard work giving birth, it is hard work bringing up kids and keeping the house nice. We all work hard every day.
