What a leader, with his position on Gaza heavily influenced by his wife and his government continuing to support a plausible ongoing genocide he is open to charges of war crime complicity. (Blair somehow managed to dodge that bullet)

I am not sure how wise it is to completely undermine Starmer and Labor when Reform is surging. Criticize, yes. But should we actually repeat the error of the 2024 US election and facilitate actual real fascism because we understandably despise neoliberal centrists?

There can always be worse. Worth keeping in mind.

And reneging on just about every promise made in the run up to the election

This is an excellent post, and a meaningful contribution to the rebuilding of the left, which is so sorely needed.

Having written a post for Left Foot Forward in support of Starmer (and McDonnell) in 2019, I am now bitterly disappointed and disillusioned with him on so many levels, for all the reasons you have so well articulated.

However, I put it to you that identity politics as the only meaningful challenge to Starmer's centrism, since the days of Corbynism (which itself quickly stagnated post-2017), is itself crap and needs a major rethink. I would love to hear your thoughts on that in another post.

Corbyn as leader of the Labour Party was targeted by the Israeli lobbyists the Murdoch press and Starmer as being anti semitic. A total lie.

In the ‘Times if Israel’ publication in 2018 they state the following:-

‘Footage emerges of Corbyn saying BBC ‘biased’ toward ‘Israel’s right to exist’

MP Margaret Hodge. (YouTube screenshot)

At the heart of Labour’s anti-Semitism crisis is the party’s refusal to adopt in full the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s definition of anti-Semitism, instead leaving out four of the 11 examples included in the definition. All four relate to unfair singling out of Israel or questioning the loyalty of Jews who support Israel’

I think we now know that Zionists do not tolerate any criticism of its policies or its stance on Gaza. Any constructive criticism of Jewish supremacy is classed as anti semitic as a way to target bully and ostracise anyone who dares to speak out, which is what the left in the Labour Party did and quite rightly continues to call out the genocide being perpetrated by Netanyahu and the complicity with monetary supply and weapons from the USA UK and EU.

So Corbyn was and is on the right side of history and should by rights be our PM and in my opinion should have a public apology from the Zionist Murdoch press and the current Zionist supporting PM.

It is my deepest wish to see Starmer removed and replaced with a Labour back bencher like Richard Burgon. The sooner the better. #FakeLabour.
