We need a written constitution with a longer time horizon than the next general election, the right for people to put topics on the political govenance agenda subject to a minimum threshold of 10% of the electorate supporting a proposition, a complete ban on political lies with teeth, and a thorough restatement of our rights.
Once we admit that we are dealing with system failure, then everything can be redesigned.
