My exposé of the BBC's coverage of Israel/Palestine drops Thursday...
Based on interviews with BBC journalists and a deep data dive, you will be shocked.
For the last few months I’ve been working on a massive investigation into the BBC’s coverage of Israel and Palestine - and it’s finally being published.
It has focused on the BBC news website, which is the most visited news source on earth. It’s based on interviews with 12 BBC journalists, as well as a massive deep dive by two amazing data journalists into the BBC’s output.
Even if you’re rightly angry at the BBC’s failures, I honestly think this is going to shock you.
It’s been published by the incredible team at
this Thursday (19th December). It cost me £19,200 to legal it before handing it over to them - more on that later - but if you want to help out on that front - otherwise I can’t do this sort of work again - feel free to subscribe or donate anything you can here!: https://ko-fi.com/owenjones.
Finally, I want this report to be a catalyst to encourage other journalists to come forward about their own outlets. Watch this space…
No chance any of this will shock me. My entire psyche is geared up to expect the shite that they (the Beeb and others) throw at us. Still, looking forward to reading your take.
Best wishes Owen, keep it up.
