The snivelling sycophancy that so characterises Sir Kid 'The Shekels' Starver's morally bankrupt and enthusiastically incompetent government is proving alarmingly contagious. How sad it is that 'British' is so rapidly reduced to a synonym for 'pathetic'.
I am not quite as worried as you Owen. I only think about the young because they are the future and the young are more discerning and savvy on the internet. They make their way to more sensible balanced news. I believe things will change in this country because the climate damage will hit us hard. Brexit damage apparently is still mostly to come. So we are on a downward slope. But we wont sink. We will get on with making this country a nice place to live in again. We need to tax the wealthy, not have a wealth tax. A wealth tax requires a whole new system and by such a time, people will have moved their wealth to tax havens. Raise the top rate of tax and drag in to the net, far more wealthy people with greater difficulty for them, in avoiding it. It would raise more money Zak and you just change your language slightly from a wealth tax, to tax the wealthy more, so they pay their fair share.
