I knew from the start something seemed very off. That was too many people at the same time. Not the migrants’ fault at all, they’re also victims here.

Great analysis of what is happening and the context. Well done!! There are also a bunch of fake videos going around of people trying to get into people’s house that have been used to generate fear in Spain and Europe, no doubt coming from the integrity challenged far right.

The rapid development, weaponisation and malicious deployment of AI leads me to expect that the Zionists will soon be producing elaborate AI video narratives and counternarratives within minutes of major news breaking or even in advance. It will cause exactly the kind of chaos Trump and Netanyahu like to spread.

I hate the fact that I feel like I've got a tinfoil hat on all the time these days. I never used to be a conspiracy theorist, but these pr**ks are turning me into one!

I’m no sleuth but immediately thought this was a set up against Spain’s government because of Trump. I wasn’t aware of the recent developments between Morocco, Israel and the US, wow nasty stuff!

Thank you, Owen, for this article. It's proof that thoughtful and responsible journalism is still possible. As a reader, I don't feel either misled or manipulated. Your work is of paramount importance, so please keep it up!

Excellent journalism Owen! If it weren’t for voices like yours and other Zeteo contributors I’d have been none the wiser!! I was suspicious from the minute I read the news when this happened! I hope the Moroccan people would wake up to what their government is doing before it’s too late!!

This was my take from the weekend: Spain annoyed Trump (and by extension Israel) for refusing to let them use Spanish territory to launch bombing raids on Iran. At the same time, Spain has been getting closer to Algeria, which irritates Morocco.

What would it take for Morocco to loosen border controls? They’ve done it before. Probably not a lot. “Bad actors” spread disinformation on social media, a crowd of young people quickly gathers in a kind of gold rush, and the police look the other way so people can cross. In effect, Spain is being punished and embarrassed on the global stage by you know who for being a bit too critical of you know who while the right and far right cash in on their toxic narratives. The sad part is that no one talks about the 67 young people who lost their lives and the devastation it must cause their grieving families.

What a comprehensive account of the behnd the scenes machinations of USA and Israel with Morroccan authorities and to lay the blame on Spain who opposed Iran war and condemned Gaza genocide.

Mainstream media dont come close to explaining possible reasons for the mass crossings into Spanish enclave in North Africa.

Great work, well done.
